In November 2006, I spent three weeks in San Antonio, TX, working with pregnant homeless teens at Seton Home and parenting teens at the San Antonio Independent School District's Daycare Center, as part of my Aritist Residency at Southwest School of Art & Craft. Through conversation, story telling, journaling, photographing, drawing and working in mixed media, these teens shared their experiences as young people and as young parents and parents-to-be.
Exhibition history
A project book will be completed in 2010. Work from this project was exhibited in a solo show at Southwest School of Art & Craft in December 2007. I received a Puffin Foundation grant for this project in 2007.
